Burner and heat exchanger dirty
Dust and combustion residues settle on the burner and the heat exchanger. The boiler heats worse and uses more gas.

Combustion to be adjusted
The flue gas analysis measures how the gas burns. If the values fall outside the limits, the boiler must be adjusted or repaired before you keep using it.

Condensate trap and flue
In condensing boilers the trap, the bend that collects the water from the flue gases, gets clogged and has to be cleaned. The flue must be clear and well fixed.
What you can safely check yourself
- Look for the system logbook: it is usually near the boiler or among the house documents.
- Check the date of the last flue gas check and that of the first start-up.
- Read the power on the data plate or in the logbook: the sticker schedule described here applies to gas boilers between 10 and 35 kW.
Never open the boiler or the gas water heater, and always switch off the power before touching an electrical appliance. If in doubt, call us.

How often the boiler must be serviced
There are two different deadlines, which are often confused. The first is servicing: cleaning and checks following the manufacturer's instructions written in the boiler manual. The manufacturer sets the interval for that model.
The second is the energy efficiency check, that is the flue gas analysis. For gas boilers between 10 and 35 kW it must be done every 2 years. On a new boiler the first check comes 4 years after first start-up, then it goes back to the 2-year interval.
With the flue gas check you pay the CIT contribution, which everyone calls the bollino, the boiler inspection sticker: 13 € every 2 years for gas boilers between 10 and 35 kW. Anyone who skips the checks risks a penalty starting at 500 €, set by Legislative Decree 192/2005.
The sticker: which platform applies to your home
The check has to be recorded on an online platform, which changes depending on the town. This is where many doubts arise.
In the city of Naples the Comune's CUIT platform is used. In the municipalities of the Metropolitan City with fewer than 40,000 inhabitants, the Metropolitan City's virtual sticker applies. Municipalities above 40,000 inhabitants have their own register of heating systems. The province of Caserta, and therefore Aversa and the Aversa area, has its own platform.
You do not need to work out which one is yours: we know, and we record the check in the right place. Many people still call it the blue sticker, but it is the same check. You keep the updated logbook together with the receipt.
What we do during the visit
We carry out the cleaning required by the manual, check the condensate trap, the flue, the pressure and the expansion vessel. Then we run the flue gas analysis with the instrument and write the results in the system logbook.
If the values are out of range or we find a part to replace, we explain what we saw and give you the price before doing anything else. The work is carried out by Air Tecnology Impianti, qualified for heating and gas systems.
