Pellet stove and boiler stove installation in Naples
A pellet stove performs well only if it is fitted in the right place, with the air it needs and a compliant flue. We install air stoves, ducted stoves and boiler stoves in Naples and Campania, from the site visit to the declaration of conformity.

A non-compliant flue can bring fumes and carbon monoxide back into the house, which cannot be seen and has no smell. With headache, nausea or drowsiness when the stove is on: switch off, open the windows, go out and call 112 if anyone feels unwell. A new stove is lit only after the draught has been checked.

Flue gas outlet through the wall
A pipe that comes out of the wall and releases smoke on the facade is not compliant: for installations after 31 August 2013 the flue gases must exit above the roof, and the exceptions concern some gas boilers, not biomass.

No combustion air
To burn, the stove takes air from the room. Without an opening to the outside, or a duct that brings air directly to the stove, the flame gets worse, and even the kitchen extractor running can send it into alarm.

Clearances and floor ignored
Each manufacturer states in the manual the minimum distances from walls and furnishings that can burn. On a parquet floor you need a protective base in non-combustible material, for example metal or ceramic.

Boiler stove without safety devices on the water side
Connected to the radiators, the boiler stove needs an expansion vessel, a safety valve and the other devices required by the UNI 10412-2 standard, which release heat and pressure if something goes wrong, for example in a blackout with the stove on.
What you can safely check yourself
- Read on the stove's data sheet the power, the flue outlet diameter and the minimum clearances required.
- Check the environmental class in stars: in Campania, a new installation needs at least 4.
- Ask the building administrator whether the condominium rules limit flues on the facade.
- Photograph the room, the outside wall and, if you can reach it safely, the roof.
Never open the boiler or the gas water heater, and always switch off the power before touching an electrical appliance. If in doubt, call us.

How we work, from site visit to first lighting
At the site visit we look at the room, meaning volume, floor, distances from walls and furniture, the opening for air, and then the route of the flue gases. An existing flue is inspected. If there is none, we propose the route to the roof with a written quote.
On the day of installation we connect the stove to the flue with sealed pipes and a T-connector with an inspection cap, through which the ash is removed. Then comes the first lighting, adjustment to the pellet you use and a demonstration of the everyday cleaning.
At the end of the work we issue the declaration of conformity required by DM 37/2008, which also covers the flue gas outlet, fill in the system logbook and apply the flue plate, the label with the data of the flue system required by UNI 10683:2022.
Boiler stove: what changes
The boiler stove heats the water for the radiators and, with the right kit, for the taps. Besides the flue there is real plumbing work, with a circulator, expansion vessel and safety valve. If there is already a gas boiler, it has to be decided how the two work together, so we give the price after seeing the system.
The power is chosen on the needs of the house, not on the biggest stove that fits in the living room. An oversized boiler stove runs at minimum almost all the time, gets dirty sooner and goes into alarm more often.
Apartment buildings, permits and incentives
In a building the flue must reach above the roof even if you live on the first floor. Before buying the stove read the condominium rules and speak to the administrator: a flue on the facade affects the look of the building and may require a filing with the Comune, plus the opinion of the Soprintendenza if the building is listed.
The GSE Conto Termico, in the version in force since the end of 2025, supports replacing an old heating system with a biomass generator that meets efficiency and emission requirements. A stove fitted where there was no system before does not usually qualify. Check amounts and conditions on the GSE website before buying.

Frequently asked questions
Can I install the pellet stove myself?
No. The installation counts as a heating system under DM 37/2008 and must be carried out by a qualified business, which issues the declaration of conformity. Without that document the manufacturer's warranty may lapse.
Can a pellet stove be installed without a flue?
No. Stoves sold as flue-free still release the fumes through a hole in the wall, and for biomass wall discharge is not allowed. If a flue cannot be built in your building, it is worth considering another system, for example a heat pump.
How much does it cost to install a pellet stove?
With a compliant flue already in place, 2026 quotes published on ProntoPro for an air stove generally fall between 200 and 400 € for labour only. With a new flue the cost often rises to between 400 and 1,300 €. You get our price in writing after the site visit.
How many stars must a new stove have?
At least 4 stars: regional law 36/2020 requires it for new installations in Campania, under the classification of DM 186/2017. For incentives higher requirements may apply.
