Beretta boiler service in Naples
Repair and service of Beretta boilers in Naples and across Campania, from lockouts with an A code to replacing components. We are not the brand's official service centre. Do not open the boiler and do not touch the gas or electrical parts. The reset is done only from the external controls described in the manual. If you smell gas, do not reset and do not touch switches: open the windows, go outside and call the distributor's emergency line from there.
Recognise the problem
- The display shows A01 with a crossed-out flame
- A02 appears and the red LED flashes
- With A04 the pressure gauge needle is almost at zero
- The reset works, but the next day the boiler is stopped again
- The boiler locked out after a storm or a power cut
- You do not know where the button or the selector to reset it is
The most common causes
- 1
Ignition failed
The ACF module is the board that controls ignition. When the boiler cannot light, or the board itself is faulty, it puts the boiler into lockout. Causes range from gas not arriving to a dirty electrode.
- 2
Limit thermostat tripped
The limit thermostat stops the boiler when the water inside exceeds the safe temperature. It happens when the water circulates poorly or there is air in the system.
- 3
Too little water in the system
The water pressure switch, a sensor that monitors the pressure in the circuit, locks the boiler out when there is too little water.
- 4
Power surges
A storm or a tripped RCD can leave the boiler locked out even without a real fault. In these cases the reset is enough.
- 5
Worn components
Electrodes, NTC probes (the temperature sensors), fan and board fail over time. The reset gets them going for a short while, then the code comes back.
What you can safely check yourself
- Read the code and see whether the red LED is steady or flashing
- Check the pressure on the gauge with the boiler cold
- Check that the gas tap is open and that the hob lights
- Try the reset once, as the manual describes
- Photograph the rating plate: we need the model and serial number for parts
Never open the boiler or the gas water heater, and always switch off the power before touching an electrical appliance. If in doubt, call us.
When you need a technician at home
- A01 returns after the reset
- A02 keeps repeating, even days apart
- The pressure drops again after topping up
- The boiler reports a fault with the temperature probes
- Servicing or the flue gas check is due

Most common error codes on Beretta boilers
A01, ACF module lockout: the board that controls ignition has put the boiler into lockout, or it has an electronic fault. On the display you see the crossed-out flame. A reset is tried. If the code returns, the gas supply, the electrode and the board must be checked.
A02, limit thermostat alarm: the water inside the boiler has exceeded the safe temperature and the thermostat has stopped it. Often air in the system or poorly circulating water is involved.
A04, water pressure switch alarm: there is too little water in the heating circuit. The system is topped up to the value in the manual and the boiler is reset. If the pressure drops again, there is a leak to find.
These meanings come from the manual for the Beretta Ciao. Other series may use different codes, so on a video call we always start from the model written on the rating plate.
How to reset a Beretta boiler
On models with a rotary selector, such as the Ciao, the manual says to turn the selector to off, wait 5-6 seconds and return it to its previous position. The boiler restarts by itself. On other models, such as the Meteo Green, there is a reset button to press for one second.
A reset is for when the lockout is occasional, for example after a power dip. The manual itself warns that if the attempts do not restart the boiler, you should call for service. Repeating it fixes nothing.
Before resetting, always look at the pressure. If the gauge is low, the boiler will only restart for a short time. On a video call we show you where the filling tap is on your model.
Beretta service outside the official network
We repair Beretta boilers as we do other brands, without presenting ourselves as the brand's official service. If the boiler is still under warranty, read the conditions on the certificate: covered repairs normally go through the manufacturer's centres.
Out of warranty we handle diagnosis, repair and parts, with the price stated before we start. Giugliano, Villaricca, Qualiano and the Aversa area are among the zones closest to our base in Parete.
Want to know what it is first? Show us
You point the camera at the display, the LED, the pressure gauge and the rating plate. We identify the code for your model and guide you through the reset the manual allows, or through topping up the system if the pressure is low. If the lockout comes back, we arrange the visit and take the €9.90 off the bill.
Video consultation, up to 15 minutes: €9.90 (€14.90 on Sundays), deducted from the bill if we then come to your home.

Frequently asked questions
How do I reset a Beretta boiler?
It depends on the model. On the Ciao you turn the selector to off, wait 5-6 seconds and put it back. On other models there is a reset button. First check the pressure on the gauge. If the lockout returns, do not keep trying.
What does A01 mean on a Beretta?
It is the lockout of the module that controls ignition: the boiler did not restart or the board has a problem. A one-off lockout is reset. If it repeats, the gas, the electrode and the board must be checked.
Are you the official Beretta service?
No. Beretta has its own official network and we are not part of it. We are a qualified business that repairs Beretta boilers and those of other brands, outside that network.
The boiler locked out after a storm. Is it broken?
Not necessarily. A power dip is often enough to send it into lockout, and a reset restarts it. If it does not restart or the code returns, the storm may have damaged the board.
