Period buildings, villas with gardens and terraces overlooking the bay. The systems here are often high-end: boilers in recesses, multi-split air conditioning, bathrooms redone with wall-hung fixtures and concealed cisterns. They call for a technician who works cleanly, protects floors and furniture and leaves everything tidy. Sea salt is hard on outdoor air conditioner units: one check a year avoids breakdowns in the middle of summer.
Hard water: about 38 French degrees in Riviera di Chiaia (ABC analysis).
